Ok, so I am sure we have all had those times where inspiration was hard to come by....and lately I have been in this "funk" where I have had not much desire to do anything.
However, I am glad to say that this was short lived for me...I have gained new strength, and desire to continue doing what I love to do, model trains. I am not quite sure where this came from, maybe it was the fact that I have been getting more sleep, or maybe it is because I have been working around the house knocking things off that "honey-do" list. Whatever it is, I am ready to go.
Planning on getting lights in my basement, and drywall up in the train room, and plans are back on. The "honey-do" list is shrinking and growing at the same time, but better to have too much to do than not enough to do....well, a little less would help.
Well, I have work to do and daylight is burning.

Lost my "Mo-Jo"
I am not quite sure what is going on with me lately...i cannot seem to find any interest in working on some of my projects.
Maybe it is the fact that I am preoccupied with thinking about how I am going to get a layout in the space I have, and how to incorporate what I want into the layout. I'll admit that I am still doing research on laying track(for realistic operation), wiring, and all that fun stuff. Or at least that is what I am hoping is happening, since I still have a handful of projects that I really wanted to finish.
What do we do when we get to this point in our lives...do we walk away for a bit and pick it up in a month or two?? Do we fight through it, go to the workbench and just do it?? What about seeking the guidance form those we look up to for inspiration and a much needed pep talk??
While I am stuck, I will keep reading, doing research, planning and talking to those who I look up to the most for encouragement. Just hoping I can make the most of the time I have this summer, when the kids are in bed!!
Until next time, keep hanging in there!

Blogging??
Ok so I don't have a model railroad to speak of, but I thought I'd give blogging a try instead.
I am currently an arm-chair modeler who up until this point had detailed and painted some rolling stock and tons of locomotives. I am however tossing around the idea of creating my basement empire in the very near future.
I model the Penn Central (groan away, that's ok), but also enjoy many of the other eastern roads such as the Erie-Lackawanna, Reading, Lehigh Valley, and Conrail just to mention a few.
I was just looking for another outlet to talk trains (since the wife cannot even begin to understand what I am saying....LOL)and post pics.
Happy blogging!!
